After inspecting Mandovi and Zuari bridges, Congress has now asked Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to unfurl the tricolour on Goa Liberation Day.

On the other hand, BJP and Congress have started fighting hammer and tong over chief minister’s health.

BJP says it is not possible for the CM to attend the state function on 19th December.

GPCC President Girish Chodankar has appreciated Parrikar to personally inspect under the construction third Mandovi bridge on Sunday.

Going a step forward, he has now demanded that he should also attend the Goa Liberation Day on Wednesday.

He doesn't want Parrikar to address the people, just come for 2 minutes, unfurl the flag and go.

But BJP state general secretary Sadanand Tanavade says it’s not possible. Because there will be a huge crowd at the Campal ground.

Congress feels the third Mandovi bridge inspection was a well played drama. Congress spokesperson Amarnath Panajikar said they felt very bad when they saw Parrikar with drip in his nose.

But BJP general secretary Sadanad Tanavade said Congress criticism against Parrikar is to only gain political mileage.

He also called Jan Akrosh of Congress a flop show. He claimed that majority Goans are supporting Parrikar. He also claimed that Congress never approached to seek appointment of Chief Minister.
