A visibly upset BJP stung by the statements of the Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar on the chief minister came out all guns blazing on Saturday.

BJP general secretary Sadanand Tanawade said Girish’s advise that the Chief Minister 'must resign and rest' a cheap publicity stunt, instead asked him to keep his own flock intact.

The Congress had attacked Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday asking him to resign, hand over his chair to somebody else and take rest.

Girish Chodankar the Congress state president had even inquired whether it was the party that was forcing him to continue as the chief minister even though he was not well.

Meanwhile,  BJP has announced it will have a nationwide campaign to commemorate the enforcement of emergency by the Congress prime minister late Indira Gandhi
