Fish import ban: Congress smells ‘something fishy’

Congress smells something fishy behind Chief Minister‘s decision to impose the ban on fish imports.



They feel the kneejerk reaction is to get away from the opposition’s tough question in the house.

They have also demanded that those agents found guilty with formalin added fish must be charged with attempt to murder.

Meanwhile, some fisherfolks have demanded compensation from the government for their lost business for last whole week.

While Siolim block of Congress has demanded Palyekar’s resignation calling him inefficient.

The former sarpanch of Rachol panchayat Joseph Vaz demanded that local fish vendors affected with the formalin controversy should be compensated by the government. Joseph Vaz, Fmr Sarpach, Rachol
