Sesa Mining workers in Bicholim have threatened hunger strike if the government does not come to their rescue. On the other hand, employees at Chowgules are starring at uncertainty as management has decided to lay off over 350 employees.

Earlier on Friday over 350 Chowgule employees met management to discuss the future course of action.

But the meeting yielded no positive result. While the management wants the employees to pack up, the employees are asking for help.

On the other hand, the Sesa workers have threatened to go on hunger strike if Government does not intervene.

Remember, earlier Sesa Mines employees at Bicholim were asked to stay at home, since then they have been staging a silent protest outside the company gate.
