GMPF condemns Goa foundation petition

Goa Mining People's Front on Friday condemned against the petition filed by NGO Goa Foundation against government say in Supreme Court to extend mining lease upto 2037. By such petition NGO has once again dashed the hopes of mining resumption in state , GMPF claimed and termed stated NGO an anti social one working against will of people.



GMPF president Puti Gaonkar has  urged government to check the income source of the stated NGO and also if they are working against the country. According to Puti Gaonkar, after government say in Supreme Court, wherein government had stated that mining leases can be extended to the year 2037 as per the mining companies’ contention but that it would abide by the decision of the court. But before courts order NGO intervention petition saying that their side was not herd and taking note of it hearing of the case has been postponed to April. Due to this there is no chances of mining resumption aleast this years season, stresses PUTI.
