Cabral warns to close down mines if retrenched workers not reinstated

Environment Minister Nilesh Cabral has warned to shut down the mines if the retrenched workers are not reinstated by the mining companies. Mining dependants met him in Bicholim during public consultation of Coastal Zone Management Plan.

Cabral also told mining dependants that the Chief Minister could not go to Delhi for second

meeting due to ongoing Assembly session. But he assured them that CM is pursuing the matter

with the centre at priority level.
