CCP doubles casino license fees

Floating casinos have been dealt a a double blow after the outbreak of the Panademic Coronavirus. First they were asked to close down as a precautionary measure. And now the Corporation City of Panaji will more than double their trade license fees.



CCP mayor Uday Madkaikar said the trade license fee for casino has been hiked to 2 lakhs rupees from the earlier 80 lakh rupees.


CCP's 66 crore rupee 11 crore rupee deficit budget was passed on Friday.


The mayor blamed the government of not paying the salary fund that is used to pay the salaries of the commissioner, engineer, accountant.


The Mayor said that said fees for shop boards would be charged as per the size.


A decision has been taken to impose fees on LED boards. But house tax has not been hiked.


The garbage collection fee has been hiked from 500 rupees to 800 rupees.
