We were cheated out of our lands, will approach courts: Benaulim farmers

Benaulim farmers have threatened to approach courts if they are not compensated for their acquired lands. They have accused local MLA Churchill Alemao of falsely taking over their lands in the name of development.

Farmers said they waited for last one months for compensation but to no avail.

Our land costs 16 lakh rupees but local MLA won't to pay us even a mere 20,000 rupees. We lost 600 square meters of land, say farmers.
