The Goa Forward President Vijai Sardesai said that the law should take its own course on allegations made against his vice president and former OSD to fisheries minister Vinod Palyekar -Durgadas Kamat.

But, he said, Durgadas would have to clear his name viz a viz all those allegations. However, he reminded reporters that under the Indian law a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On Saturday an NGO United Goans Foundation had demanded vigilance probe against Goa Forward vice president and former OSD of WRD minister Durgadas Kamat accusing him of amassing disproportionate assets, conspiracy, corruption, fraud and criminal breach of trust.

Vijai later also questioned the credentials of the NGO. He alleged that the complainant was a political activist connected to Margao MLA Digambar Kamat and not an NGO.
