Nationalist Students Congress wants Goa University to put a proper mechanism in place so that examination results are declared within a specified time.

They say that they are going to submit a petition to the University Registrar with recommendations on how to cut delays in results.

The students also want re-evaluation and challenge re-evaluation fees to be reduced.

Goa Government had passed the Goa Right of Citizens Time-bound Delivery of Services Act 2013 under which results of examination, including re-evaluation, should be declared within 60 days.

The NSC students said the delay violates the Act.

Asked to comment on Goa University sliding in ranking to 93rd position out of top 100 universities in the country, Ritesh squarely blamed the governor as she is the chancellor as well as interference in the affairs of the university for the drastic slip over the past few years.

Goa University was ranked 20th in 2016 and 68th in 2018 .
