Activist Auda Viegas of Balaincho Ekvott a NGO says she would go on hunger strike if her demand of upgrading the women protection cell at the South Goa police station is not fulfilled.

The women protection cell at the South Goa district police station was formed back in 2009 to solve women related issues.

But now the place is not enough alleges activist Auda Viegas. She demanded that the cell should be upgraded, if not, she would go on hunger strike on 13 December infront of the Margao police station.

She has found support among other activists too. Tara Kerkar says she will support her on this.
