CM assures land ownership to those living in forests

Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has assured to make a law that would give ownership of land and houses to those living in the forests. Sattari Bhumiputra Sanghatana held a dharna in Valpoi in this regard

Forest officials harassing the tribals living in forests has become a regular feature now. Even cases were filed against four persons in Sattari couple of years ago.

The Sanghatana held a dharna in Valpoi also with a demand to withdraw these cases. CM personally met them and requested them not to take law in their hands but get it resolved through proper procedure.
