Benaulim fishermen too complain of Malpem trawlers fishing in Goan waters

But when they came to the seashore to check for themselves, they noticed red-coloured Malpem trawlers fishing close to the shore.

They have sought the Fisheries Department to come to their rescue.

Earlier, Vasco fishermen too complained of Malpem trawlers coming and fishing in Goan territorial waters.

They say rough weather has prevented them from venturing into the sea.

And now trawlers from Malpem are encroaching in Goa's coastal areas and taking away all the fish.
