Godrej builds Anganwadi for Adnawaddo Madkai villagers

Finally, the kids at Adnawaddo in Madkai got an Anganwadi. The Anganwadi was however not built by the government but by a private firm through a corporate social responsibility initiative.

The Anganwadi at Adnawaddo- Karmali was inaugurated on Monday but local MLA Sudin Dhavlikar was not invited for the inaugural ceremony. The Anganwadi is built by Godrej company spending 22 lakh rupees. Earlier, an Anganwadi was functioning from a rented premises.

Kids had to face hardships as there was no enough space and also there were no toilet facilities. Madkai panchayat requested Godrej and Boyce company for help.

Sarpanch Deepa Naik, former sarpanch Shailendra Panjikar, Godrej project chief James Kurim were present at the inauguration.
