Chinchinim panchayat demands funds to clean up drains along PWD road

The road goes from Orlim to Chandor via  Chinchinim.

After heavy showers a couple of days back, the road was flooded.

The panchayat was forced to carry out drainage cleaning work but the panchayat says it is a drain on their funds.

And since it is the PWD road, the department should carry out the work or compensate the panchayat.

The panchayat officials have alleged since it is the PWD road, the department should have done the pre-monsoon work.

The panchayat has demanded that the panchayat should provide them funds to do the work.
