Government has spent whooping around 50 lakh rupees from April 2017 till January 2020 on 20 state guests and two meetings of the western zone council meeting. The guests included 7 foreign dignitaries, 7 bureaucrats, 4 politicians, 1 CJI and also included a fake minister. Ironically, nobel laureates who visited Goa spent their own money.

The documents accessed by Goa 365 had details spent by the government on these guests.

These amounts were for transport and accommodation.

The Government also spent 16.6 lakh rupees on foreign dignitaries who visited Goa.

The government spent 3.78 lakh rupees on bureaucrats visits to Goa. Rama Shirvastava former DGP and advisor to Kerala government alone spent 1.98 lakhs rupees government money during his trip to Goa with 8 family members.

The government spent 28,000 rupees on former Chief Justice of India T.S. Thakur during his six days visit.

The government also spent 32.60 lakh rupees on the three day 24th Western Zonal Council Meeting held on August 2019.

While, 8.35 lakhs rupees were spent on the one day 11th Western Zonal Council meeting.

The State government spent 4.12 lakhs rupees on 3 politicians. 1.57 lakh rupees on a 6 day visit of Lal Krishna Advani, 12,781 rupees on a 1 day stay of Home Minister Amit Shah and 10,575 rupees on 4 days visit of former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Minister of Protocol, Karnataka Bernarnd Raj visited four times in Goa. Once as adviser to Kerala's Chief Minister.

His stay came at cost of 2.32 lakhs for the government.

Fake UP Minister Sunil Kumar Singh duped the government at tune of 27,361 rupees.

He was first accommodated at circuit house. Then he extended his stay and government decided to shift him to Taj Vivanta.

However, the Taj Vivanta was full and he was finally accommodated at Hotel Fidalgo.

Nobel Laureates has set an good example for our politicians and bureaucrats.

They came from across country and didn't let government pay for their and family's expenses.

Nobel Laureates Carl Herikc Heldin, Christiane Nasslein Valhard and Thomas Lindahl, Serge Haroche, Richard Roberts and their spouses who came to Goa for Mega Scientific Event Nobel Prize Series spent their own money on transport and accommodation.
