Goa government has given a ray of hope for childless women.

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the IUI treatment centre in GMC’s Gynecology department would start within one month and IUF treatment centre would  start after four months.

This will be done in association with FOGSI, a well known institute. These treatments are expensive in other states but it would be done free of cost at GMC, Rane said.

30% of the childless are forced to move to other states for treatment. People have to spend lakhs for IUI and IUF treatment.

Goa government has tied-up with FOGSY for this facility. These centers would be operated under guidance of Head of FOGSY Dr. Nandita Palshetkar.
