Police Memorial Day was observed in the state today in memory of policemen who died while on duty. DGP JASPAL SINGH paid tributes to the martyrs at Panaji Police Headquarters
Police Memorial Day was first celebrated on October 21, 1959 in memory of the National Police Forces who were killed by the Chinese army while on patrol. This day is now celebrated as Police Memorial Day across India to pay tribute to the martyrs of the police force.
