IPB projects in industrial zones are cleared faster, says CM

If projects were cleared after consultation with everybody then there would be no need to have an investment promotion board.

The board looks after the issues that are relevant to society, the chief minister told the house on Tuesday.

The chief minister was replying to a question of Congress MLA Nilkant Halarnkar on some project cleared by the IPB.

Project approvals granted to 26 projcts were withdrawn by the Investment Promotion Board.

At the same time 169 total projects approved out of which 71 were new projects, the chief minister said. Out of the 26, 14 were in CRZ zone.

Out of the approved projects 44 have been completed.
