GST decisions are second opening of Indian economy: Mauvin

Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho claims that the decisions taken at GST Council meeting held in Goa would be the second opening for the Indian economy after 1991. According to him, GST regime is a great success to generate more revenue and plug tax evasion.

Godinho was speaking to the media after inaugurating a Dandiya workshop at Keshav Smruti School in Dabolim in the presence of BJP Mahila Morcha President Sulakshana Sawant

. He is also the member of GST Council, representing Goa. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had last week chaired the council meeting held in Goa.
