Vithal Chopdekar is new Panaji mayor

First time corporators Vithal Chopdekar was on Tuesday elected the new mayor of Panaji city. Asmita Kerkar was elected deputy mayor. Both are from the panel controlled by Babush Monserrate.

Vithal  replaces Surendra Furtado. Surendra is an independent corporator. Vithal  is like a dark  horse. His name was revealed at the last minute.
