The Goa government and the Portuguese government on Saturday signed a MOU to assess and work on water management, sanitation and sewerage.

The PWD minister promised that they would try and reduce the non revenue water wastage to 10 per cent from the current 25-30%.

PWD minister Sudin Dhavalikar and Portugal’s environment minister Joao Pedro Matos Fernandes said that this MOU that had a validity of 2 years was a statement of political will and would go a long way in improving the collaboration between the two countries not only on the present subjects but also other avenues like tourism.
