Goa experiences pre-monsoon showers

According to Met Office in Panaji, the blowing of north- westerly wind from Karnataka brought the moisture-laden clouds towards Goa.

The Met has predicted onset of monsoon in Goa between 12^th and 15^th of June. Panaji received 23.8 mm of rain while Mapusa received 20 mm.

According to Panaji station incharge Dr K V Pasgalwar, the onset of monsoon in Kerala is likely to be on 8^th of June.

He predicted light to moderate rain and thunder showers at isolated places in Goa over the next 24 hours. The showers brought down the temperature In the state.

In North Goa, Bicholim received heavy showers taking people by surprise.
