Double-tracking of SWR will be a game changer, says CM

Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has said that double tracking of South Western Railways will be a game changer for trade and passenger movement. He reiterated that the double tracking is not to facilitate coal transportation.



The chief minister speaking after inaugurating two traffic signals at Verna industrial estate on Thursday.

 The Chief Minister said that he would call for a joint meeting of GIDC, Power and Factories and Boilers departments to address the issues faced by the industry. Meanwhile, founder President of Verna Industrial estate Nitin Kuncalienker expressed concerns over the functioning of the government departments that has led to the harassment of industries in Goa.
