CCP to start fish sale in Panaji by Monday: Mayor

The selling of fish would start in Panaji by Monday, CCP Mayor Uday Madkaikar informed. The fish sale would be allowed on similar line of vegetable sale by marking the roads and maintaining social distancing, said Madkaikar.



All guidelines are followed while selling vegetables on roadside. Fish vendors would be given permission to sell fish on the similar lines. A place has been identified for fish vendors.

CCP Mayor also informed 70% of the pre-monsoon works have been complete during lockdown period. CCP trying to complete remaining work by 20th May.

A delegation of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry met CCP Mayor Uday Madkaikar and requested him to waive all kinds of taxes imposed by CCP on commercial establishments which are closed during lockdown period. Uday said he has in principle agreed to their demand but further decision would be taken.
