Awareness drive on COTPA Act among Govt workers

A day workshop was held in Margao to make the government employees aware of Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003.

The workshop would help to curb the open supply of tobacco and other harmful products. 

The Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 or COTPA is an Act in 2003 to prohibit the advertisement & regulate trade and commerce, supply and distribution of cigarettes and other tobacco products in India.

On Thursday, officials visited the gaddas located near the KTC bus stand and checked the license and other necessary permissions.
