Once again it is proved. Schools in the villages perform much better than the city schools in the SSC examination.

Almost 72 %  schools which scored 100% results are from the villages.

Only 28% are city schools. Similar is the result of centres.

Out of 27 centres, 5 have scored more than 95% result. And four among them are from rural Goa. Both centres from Kankon are among these four.

Mashem centre has scored the highest percentage of 97 percent at the state level.

It is on the border of South Goa in Kankon taluka, mainly for the schools in Loliem and Poinguinim villages.

And Kankon centre is third on the list with 96 percent.

Aldona is fourth with 95 percent.

The only city centre that has performed well is Madgao. 96 percent.

But at the same time, centres which have performed less than 90% are also rural.

Kepem at 82 percent, Curchorem at 87 percent and Mangeshi at 88 percent.

The recent trend in Goa is to migrate from villages to cities because our children should get the better education.

Village schools are considered to be not that good. But see this trend.

Altogether 78 schools have scored 100 percent result this year.

Out of them, almost 56 schools are village schools. Some of them are even from remote tribal areas like Gaodongri and Khotigao.

City schools are however are only 22. And almost 21 government schools have also secured 100% result.
