SEC OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES PANCHAYAT POLLS

The State Election Commission has announced 10 August as day for Panchayat polls. The results would be declared on 12th August and the code of conduct comes in force all over Goa barring municipal areas, CCP jurisdiction and some panchayats including Taleigao from today. Here are the details.

The State Election Commissioner W V Ramanamurthy has announced the schedule for the panchayat elections. The nominations will be accepted from 18 July onwards and last date to file nomination is 25 July. The scrutiny will take place of 26 July. The last date to withdraw the nomination is 27 July.
