EC announces Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls

Assembly elections 2022 are just few months away. The election commission has started already started gearing up for elections. With this backdrop Election commission has called a meeting of representatives of various political parties and a schedule for the Special Summary Revision of electoral roll in view of state assembly elections 2022 was announced.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer said representatives of political parties have agreed to the decision taken by election commission for the election process. Congress and Goa Forward had demanded to transfer booth level officer from Vasco. Accordingly officials were transferred, Aditional CEO Narayan Sawant said.  

1,722 EVMs came in Goa on Sunday evening. Out of which 800 will be delivered in North and 922 in South. The EVMs which came from Karnataka will be tested. It might take four to five days.
