Collector gives details of counting process on 10th

Counting will began at 8 in the morning for all 19 constituencies with maximum 11 rounds. The postal votes are supposed to be completed first. One round of counting is expected to take around 20-30 minutes, and there will be around 11 rounds for each constituency, North Goa Collector Ajit Roy informed.



The eagerly awaited results for Goa and four other states will be on 10th March, Thursday. Roy gave details of the counting process and arrangements. The counting will take place at Goa Polytechnic at Altinho.

Counting of postal ballots will began first followed by EVM counting starting from 8.30. Each constituency has been allotted one counting hall total 19 halls in campus, he said. 

Ajit Roy also gave details of the security arrangements. Also the counting staff has been trained. Candidates have been given right to appoint their counting agents, given that they produce ID Card, fully vaccinated certificate or covid negative certificate.

Mobile phones are barred inside the counting hall, only Returning Officers and Observers are allowed to carry their phones.
