Booth sizes to be capped to 1000 voters

Every state has given suggestions for the restructering of pooling booths.

South Goa collector convened a meeting with leaders of political parties on restructering of booths ahead of assembly elections. 

There is a proposal to set up 42 new polling booths. At many place the polling booths have restructured. There is plan to increase the number of polling booths.

The numbers of voters will be kept limited at each booth. There will be no more than 1000 voters in any polling booth.

Due to prevailing situation of covid-19 the number of voters at each polling booth has been kept to 1000.

The agenda was discussed with various political parties.
