With elections done, Goa is all set to swear in the new assembly after the governor dissolved the house with immediate effect last night. As the new innings of these 40 is set to start Another interesting fact has been brought to the fore by Election watchdog, ADR.

In its recent report  it has revealed  that majority of the elected members have a net worth of more than 5 crores. Also despite being in opposition the Congress MLA  assets have risen by 65%. The BJP MLAs assets have risen by nearly 72%.

Election watchdog ADR has released their report of the assets owned by members elected. According to the report, 75% of the house have a net worth of over 5 crores. 20% meanwhile have a net worth of between 2 to 5 crores .one member has a networth between 50lakhs to 2 crores. While one member has a networth of less than 50 lakhs.

While MLAs having huge assets worth crores is not uncommon, the house this time does not have a 100% crorepati population. With the lobo family topping the charts of being the richest MLA elects, Independent candidate dr. ChandrakantShetye sits at 3rd. The Sole RG candidate VireshBorkar will be the only candidate to not be a crorepati among the house members
