Goa Board has issued a procedure for assessment of students marks

The SSC exams stand cancelled. Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant who is also the education minister said that students will be promoted based on the assessment of their internal marks. Now, the Goa Board has issued a procedure for assessment of students marks.



Respective schools will make the assessment of marks and they are directed to submit their assessment by May 15. Internal Assessments have already been done by the school & a majority of schools have uploaded their data on the Board portal. 

ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE 

*The students will be assessed out of maximum 100 marks for each

subject 

*Board policy says, 20 marks are for Internal Assessment and 80 marks are for Board Examinations

*The Internal Assessment for 20 marks will be as per the existing policy 

*The assessment of 80 marks will be done by the school

* Assessment is based on the marks scored by the candidate in the different tests/exams 

* The marks should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in Class X Board examination

 Government has warned of initiation of action against non-compliance where the school deliberately indulges in practices that are not consistent with fair, unbiased and objective practices of assessment. 

ACTION AGAINST NON-COMPLIANCE  

*Board to start de-recognition proceedings 

*Impose financial penalty against the school 

*Decide not to declare the result of class X for the school till the time it is not in conformity with the Board’s policy
