Ram Lila Delhi: Mining stir day 2 sees Goa heavyweight's presence

Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao on Wednesday said that Supreme Court decision on mining was not applicable to mining stakeholders and himself. Parliament is supreme and not the court.
This is what the veteran NCP legislature Churchill Alemao told the mining dependent at Delhi.
He was the part of the support group which included health minister Vishwajeet Rane, former Congress chief minister and MLA Digambar Kamat, Franciso Sardhina, Sanvordem MLA Prasad Gaonkar, former union minister Ramakant Khalap and Shiv Sena MP from Maharashtra Sanjay Raut.
Goan mining stakeholders are holding a three day protest at Ramlila Maidan in national capital.
They want the government to amend a MMDR act and allow mining to start immediately. They do not want any auctions but what present lease holders to continue.
