Petrol, diesel, LPG at all time high

How is it the common man able to cope with these stiff prices, the opposition asked on Wednesday. Since August 16, petrol prices have risen by over 2 rs per litre, while diesel has gone up by 2.42 rs a litre during this period.  

Petrol and diesel prices are setting new record almost on a daily basis. This has been pushed  by a combination of the dramatic fall in rupee and a sharp rise in crude oil.

However, as of now the government has said that it is not reducing duties on fuel.

Opposition congress said it would hold a protest on Thursday against these prices.
