Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar told reporters that ore transport is a business. And most of the truck owners employ non-Goan drivers.

He said that he is trying to sort out the ore transportation issue. But ultimately if the truckers feel that ore transportation is not feasible, then they should change their line and use their trucks for something else.

The Chief Minister said he would never negotiate between truckers and mining houses.

But had just got involved to try and sort out the issue, especially as there were many who had got affected by the closure of mining even though they were not directly involved in the business, like restaurant owners.

Currently, truck owners and mine owners are locked in dispute over ore transportation rates. A meeting is slated to be held on Thursday to try and solve this issue.
