Nilesh wants all taxis connected to app; operators adamant on no to counter

GTDC Chairman Nilesh Cabral wants all taxi operators in the state to get connected with Goa Miles, the Taxi App



However, member of the local taxi union is adamant not to have a Goa Miles counter at the Dabolim airport.

They held a protest outside the GTDC office on Wednesday evening.

Till date, nearly 10000 people have downloaded the Goa Miles Taxi App that was launched on Monday by the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.

Also present were Tourism Minister Babu Azgaonkar and GTDC Chairman Nilesh Cabral.

The Chairman Nilesh Cabral said after having a proper analytic study, the GTDC also feels in bring the other mode of transports on the Goa Miles App

the launch of this App also saw some opposition, there was a sit-in protest on the Dabolim Airport as they didn’t want the Goa Miles counter at the Airport.

Some Taxi Men were also booked under sections for creating a nuisance at the airport Terminal.

On Wednesday the members of the Taxi Union met the GTDC officials demanding that they don’t need Goa Miles counter at the Airport.

They have also reiterated over the section booked on the taxi men on late Monday evening
