Govt plans Loan Melas for local banks

The local banks of Goa are not making huge profits. Government is thus planning to organise loan mellas. This is what Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said on Tuesday evening. He also came down heavily on the local bank directors.

he Chief Minister was speaking on the current position of the local banks in the state.

He said that many local banks are in a bad shape due to their own directors. 

Meanwhile Dempo Group of Companies, Chairman Shrinivas Dempo contributed 10 lakh rupees to the Chief Minister’s relief fund to handle the destruction the rain floods caused throughout Goa.
