EDC makes Rs 50 cr profit; GEL Rs1.17 cr

The Economic Development Corporation Limited has made a profit of 50 crore rupees for the financial year 2018-19. Goa Electronic Limited that was all along being supported by EDC has also made a 1.17 crore rupees profit this year.

The Economic Development Corporation Limited held its Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday to take stock of its performance over the past one year.

EDC has sanctioned 539 loans over the past one year as compared to 366 loans during 2017 -18.

Under EDC's flagship scheme, Chief Minister Rojgar Yojana, 487 loans were sanctioned in 2018-19 as compared to 320 loans that were sanctioned during 2017-18 .
