BSNL workers not paid salary for 4 months; hold protest

BSNL contract workers hits the streets of the capital city on Wednesday to protest their non payment of 4 months salaries.

They have given a 4 day deadline to the company to make the payments failing which they have threatened to disrupt services and stop coming to work.

BSNL contract workers said that their salaries were paid from August till November and doubt if their salaries will be credited this month.

Advocate Suhas Naik representing the workers alleged that inspite of the clear instruction from the office of the Regional Labour Commissioner, the principal employer BSNL as well as its various contractors have failed to pay the salaries.
