PETROL HIKED AGAIN : Petrol rates in Goa Rs 92.99 while diesel went up to Rs 90.80.

State-owned oil marketing companies on Sunday once again increased fuel rates across the country, this time after taking a gap of one day. In Mumbai, petrol breached the Rs 101 per litre mark after a hike of 27 paise, while diesel rates have gone up to Rs 93.30 per litre after a hike of 31 paise. Petrol rates in Goa Rs 92.99 while diesel went up to Rs 90.80.




  Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum are the three leading oil marketing companies. But fuel rates vary from state to state in the country due to the value-added tax or VAT.

Other metro too witnessed a similar hike in fuel rates. In Kolkata, petrol is priced at Rs  95.02 per litre, while diesel costs Rs 88.80 per litre. In Chennai prices of the two fuels now stand at Rs 96.47 per litre and Rs 90.66 per litre. Petrol and diesel prices in Bengaluru have touched Rs 98.20 per litre and Rs 91.12 per litre, respectively.
