vaccination being allowed for those who are 18 years and above : The health minster

The health minster on Friday said that he was in favour of the vaccination being allowed for those who are 18 years and above, given that there were reports of many youth being covid positive too. However, he said that this was a decision for the Centre to take.

 Many states have been asking for vaccinations to be given to all those above 18 as cases are rising rapidly. In many cases youth have been found going out including to parties,  picking up the infections and then passing it on to both their peers who observing protocols or their parents.

 

India has reported 1,31,968 daily infections in the last 24 hours taking total case count is over 1.3 crore. This is the fourth time in five days that India has reported over one lakh new cases. 1,67,642 people have died till date with 780 deaths in the last 24 hours.
