India reported whooping highest ever more than 6,000 deaths in last 24 hours on Thursday, despite daily cases declining in the country. Meanwhile, 94,052 covid-19 cases were reported in last 24 hours. While, Goa reported 413 new cases and 13 more new deaths.



The Bihar govt's health bulletin of June 9 said that the state had reported 9,375 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, a jump of 72.8% from the figures reported a day before.

These deaths were attributed to fatalities at private hospitals, homes, and post-recovery complications. The Bihar government conducted a 20-day long audit death after the Patna high court flagged irregularities in death figures in Buxar district on May 17. 

 Meanwhile, the country has recorded       less than 1 lakh Daily New Cases       for       3 continuous days       now.

 India has been witnessing a continuous fall in the active caseload. The country's Active Caseload today stands at 11,67,952. (visuals)The Caseload is maintained below 20 lakhs for ten successive days.(Visuals) A net decline of       63,463       is witnessed in the last 24 hours and active cases are now only 4.00% of the country's total Positive Cases.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said health sector in Goa is fully prepared to combat third wave.
