Panaji Shigmo on 14th March

Panaji will be hosting the Shigmo parade on 14th March. But due to code of conduct the parade will start at sharp 4.30 in the evening and end at 10.30 in the night. Also this year, the parade will be held on the old route, 18th June road.

Panaji Shigmo Committee Chairman Shrinivas Dempo said due to code of conduct Shigmo parade would have time restrictions. He spoke after a joint meeting between the committee, Mayor and the traffic police was held on Wednesday. The budget for the parade is 27 lakhs rupees. Tourism department will give 21 lakhs and rest would be raised through well wishers. The forms for participation will be available from Wednesday onwards and meeting has been called on 11th March for participants which is compulsory.
