BIS awareness program for consumers

 The program was organized to educate consumers about the BIS’s work in the interest of the consumers.

BIS scientist Pawankumar Kandoi said that the Bureau of Indian Standards organized a consumer awareness program to educate consumers about the work of BIS in the interest of the people.

BIS is doing the work of standardization and certification of products of specific quality as per norms of BIS certifications Marks Scheme.

Besides certification of the products frequent inspections of the manufacturing infrastructure and market area where the samples of the products are collected and given for the checking in an independent laboratory.
