The party has also demanded that the investigation report be uploaded on the police website.
Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Shantaram Naik said the cultivation of cannabis is a new phenomenon in Goa and wants police to be extremely vigilant.
Shantaram said the talathis who were sent to the damaged shacks to do to the panchanama have not done their work properly.
He said the government should train the talathis to do panchanama.
Congress party’s spokesperson Alex Reginald Lourenco also alleged that the chief minister has become the biggest protector of corruption.
He said the chief minister has suspended two Goan police officials and let a senior non-Goan police officer scot-free by merely transferring him.
Reginald also cited the example of former IGP Sunil Garg who was transferred to Delhi when there was a similar allegation against him of accepting money to register an FIR.
