Lyngdoh Committee recommendations not being followed: NSUI

The National Students Union of India in Goa has alleged that elections to the Students Council are not conducted democratically.



The student's body says the recommendations of the Supreme Court-appointed  Lyngdoh committee are not being followed.

 Lyngdoh committee appointed by the Supreme Court had recommended a set of namely every college should have elections but some colleges still carry on with nominations.

He said the election process should not exceed 10 days but presently it is taking more than 35 days.

And finally, the students are kidnapped and beat4en during the election.
