Shripad’s presence at BJP meeting raises eyebrows

Eyebrows were raised when Union Minister Shripad Naik also attended the meeting of BJP MLAs held on Monday before the Assembly session.
It had political significance as Shripad is equally a senior leader on par with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
The meeting was also attended by BJP Goa President Vinay Tendulkar and Secretary Sadanand Shet Tanavde.
But news has been making round that Shripad may be brought in as the Chief Minister as a temporary arrangement if Parrikar is unable to function due to his illness.
