Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has thrown the ball in the court of the MLAs, who are shouting about the nexus between the drug peddlers and the police.

He has written to all the MLAs to provide information about drug related activities. And he has assured that strict action would be taken against such police officials and drug peddlers.

This is the two-paragraph letter signed personally by Parrikar.

He says mere statements by the MLAs regarding the nexus dampens the morale of police and creates unwarranted sensationalism.

It also damages the image of Goa and doesn’t help resolve the issue. Instead, to make Goa drug-free, Parrikar has requested the MLAs to give information of drug-related activities personally to him. And he would take strict action on every such issue.
