Major tragedy averted in Vasco

A major tragedy was averted due to swift on time action by the Fire authorities in the port town of Vasco on Thursday.
A chemical carrying tanker on the move caught fire in the peak hours due to heat and friction of liners.
However the Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and managed to douse the fire in the neck of time.
This tanker carrying chemicals was proceeding from Goa Shipyard to Vasco City. Locals immediately informed the fire officials after the incident was reported by the driver of the tanker.
The staff of Goa Shipyard and Fire officials extinguished the fire.
